1. Accede/Exceed

2. Accept/Except
a. Accept means "to take willingly":

b. Except is a preposition meaning "excluding":

3. Adapt/Adept/Adopt
a. Adapt means "to adjust":

b. Adept means "skilled":

c. Adopt means to "accept as your own":

4. Adverse/Averse

5. Advice/Advise
